ONE DAY IN OUR FACTORY IN LA RODA DE ANDALUCÍA

10/07/2018

In Agro Sevilla there are many pieces that are essential for the most emblematic ambassador of Andalusia, the table olives, to reach the tables around the world. One of these fundamental pieces in the structure of Agro Sevilla is, without a doubt, our factory in La Roda de Andalucía. The origins of our factory go back to the first years of Agro Sevilla, specifically to 1981, when the company decided to install its main production center in this town.

What does a production center of a leading company like Agro Sevilla look like?

Agro Sevilla is the largest producer and exporter of table olives in the world. This achievement would not be possible without the daily effort of its workers and a solid commitment to the social and natural environment. The La Roda factory enjoys an unbeatable location due to its proximity to the cooperatives of the group.

Our production center in La Roda has modern facilities, perfectly communicated and integrated into the environment. With a total of 180,000 square meters, the plant is divided into reception and classified area, olive storage tanks, processing and packaging areas, as well as warehouses and loading docks.

The factory is equipped with advanced technologies, so that 90% of the total plant is automated. It is worth noting, for example, artificial vision systems to classify olives by color and quality.

A factory committed to the Environment

Agro Sevilla conceives the olive grove as the very origin of its existence, its reason for being. The care and maintenance of our environment is in our DNA, and our factory in La Roda de Andalucía is a paradigm of this respect for the Andalusian olive grove.

As a result, this production center holds the ISO 14.001 certification, a credential of our respect for the environment and our sustainable model of activity. A factory that is an example in the treatment of waters for brine, in the management of waste that minimizes its impact or in the use of thermal energy produced from olive pits.
