Agrosevilla obtains the top ranking in the BRC food safety standard

Agrosevilla, a world benchmark for the production, packaging, marketing and sale of table olives, renewed its BRC food safety certification, achieving an AA+ score, the highest ranking awarded by this association. The company also renewed the IFS Higher Level certificate, obtaining its top historical score.

The olive factory of Agrosevilla, located in La Roda de Andalucía and operational since 1977, was the deserving recipient of the highest score possible on the renowned BRC certification standard, in an unannounced audit. Likewise, the Andalusian company obtained a score of 98.69% on the Higher Level certificate of IFS, which represents a record for the organisation, which has kept renewing this recognition since 2004.

‘Obtaining these certifications is a great recognition of the hard and nonstop work that we undertake at Agrosevilla regarding food safety and defence, consolidating our deep belief in quality and innovation to strengthen our commitment to our clients and, especially, to the consumers of our products,’ remarked José Antonio Fernández, director of Quality at Agrosevilla.

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is one of the most internationally renowned for food quality and safety standards. This certification encompasses over 350 requirements to assure the quality and harmlessness of foods, including fundamental matters such as traceability, hygiene and allergen management, among others.

On its part, the IFS Food Standard was founded by the German Retail Federation (HDE) and the French Commerce and Distribution Federation (FCD) and it is established as one of the most demanded distinctions on food safety matters.
