Olivarera del Genil, S.C.A., established in 1978, is dedicated only to table olives. It has two unloading lines and an olive quota in Agro Sevilla of 3,340,000 Kg. With the last expansion that took place in 2011, the capacity of the Cooperative is around 4,430,000 kg.
After the creation of a community of irrigators and to irrigate some 400 hectares of olive groves, it was possible to guarantee the harvest in years of moderate rainfall. The technology applied in the process is cutting-edge, with fruit selection by artificial vision, either to detect the level of maturation and in the detection of possible defects in the subsequent classified by size.
